 Wendell McShine
(Trinidad y Tobago, 1973)
Artista Visual con estudios en comunicación gráfica. Su obra se plasma en diversos formatos desde el Motion Graphic, la animación y la ilustración. Desdibuja la línea de la imagen generada por ordenador y le impregna una estética orgánica. En sus inicios sus ilustraciones cubrieron las páginas de revistas y periódicos caribeños; sin embargo, después de completar su educación formal en Comunicaciones Gráficas en la Universidad de Navarra en Pamplona, España; y en la Fundación de noticias de Reuters en Londres, su arte siguió una necesidad de investigar, “Arte y Animación”, en un mundo donde las ilustraciones, cuentos metafóricos, pinturas y animaciones deben coexistir con el fin de nutrir un delicado balance en su investigación creativa.
Su trabajo ha sido publicado en IDN, Hi Fructose, BWIA, Juxtapoz, Fecal Face. Inclusión de su animación Sun Fly en la edición mexicana del DVD La ciencia del Sueño de Michell Gondri. Se ha presentado en el London Print Studios “Deingole” (UK, 2001), CCA7 (Trinidad y Tobago, 1998-2000), UDLA (Puebla, 2003), Moby-Fest (LA, 2007), International Desing Networks Animation. Actualmente asentado en México, dedica su tiempo a su último proyecto titulado “Pasajes del libro de Ícaro”, basado en la historia del joven Ícaro y su devenir por el inframundo, esta narración incluye obra pictórica, animación, collage y fotografía.

Visual Artist with studies in graphic communication. His work is reflected in various formats from the Motion GrapIniciahic, animation and illustration. He likes to blur the line of computer-generated image and impregnated an organic esthetic. At the beginning his illustrations filled the pages of caribbean magazines and newspapers, but after completing his formal education in Graphic Communications at the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain, and in Reuters Foundation in London, his art continued a need to investigate, "Art & Animation", in a world where the illustrations, metaphorical stories, paintings and animations must coexist in order to nurture a delicate balance in his creative research.
His work has been published in IDN, Hi Fructose, BWI, Juxtapoz, Fecal Face. Inclusion of its animation Sun Fly in the Mexican edition of the DVD The Science of Sleep by Michel Gondry. It has been presented at the London Studios Print "Deingole" (UK, 2001), CCA7 (Trinidad and Tobago, 1998-2000), UDLA (Puebla, 2003), Moby-Fest (LA, 2007), International Animation Desing Networks. Currently based in Mexico, devotes his time to his latest project entitled "Passages of the book of Icarus", based on the story of the young ICAR and its future by the underworld, this story includes paintings, animation, collage and photography.
